I asked my GP to refer me for an assessment of ADHD and I was contacted by Psychiatry UK to say I was on their waiting list. I was initially told I would need to wait 10 months before they would even be able to tell me when I might be offered an appointment but, much to my surprise, I was contacted 6 months later and given an appointment for two weeks time. I had to wait a further 6 months for titration but, once I reached the top of the waiting list, the process was handled really well. I'm very happy with the service I've had from PUK as an NHS patient.

I received my ADHD diagnosis & initial medication titration through Psychiatry UK. This process has been life-changing for me, in the best way. Albeit a long process, it's nowhere near as long & silent as the NHS diagnostic process at the moment. I am incredibly grateful that this resource exists for those who cannot access private diagnostic appointment(s). The clinicians & prescribers were always very responsive on their online portal - answering any queries I had were always answered quickly and in full. Thank you Psychiatry UK for all that you do!

Dr Khalid Saleem was amazing! he made me feel very comfortable and I felt like I could open up very easily. I would highly recommend the experience especially Dr Khalid. I also feel like after trying many psychiatrists this is the first time I left an appointment feeling like I got something good out of it.
