Holiday Inn London - Camden Lock, an IHG Hotel

Room 219 gives a fantastic view of Camden lock. Bloody expensive but you only live once. Stayed for 2 nights. So lucky with the weather. Camden opposite was heaving day & night. Music was lively, smells from food outlets were amazing and the bars were packed. Boats & canal boats were drifting by all the time. Great to see the locks working. Wetherspoons next door was ram packed. Didn't have any issues with noise but couldn't get a drink for love or money. Too busy for me tbh but youngsters would love it.

Walkability: Al pomeriggio, con la valigia, Camden un p caotica, ma nulla di impossibile. Food & drinks: Ottima colazione: abbondante, varia e di buona qualit. Noteworthy details: Da Stansted si arriva con L'Express fino a Liverpool street, poi si pu: 1. fare una camminata di 10 minuti fino alla stazione di Moorgate e arrivare direttamente a Camden. 2. Prendere l'Elizabeth line fino a Tottenham court, cambiare con la northern fino a Camden. L'opzione 1, se non piove, forse migliore all'andata, perch per fare i biglietti per la metro a liverpool street c' tanto casino. Rooms: It would have been great to have more than 1 night stand for the 3 of us in the room. Do bring a international power cable but they did have a USB charging station by the beds wich was nice. The TV did not accepte my Chromecast device and there where only tv stations with endless commercia. the bath was delightful. Nearby activities: There is a lovely cabaret or stand up show across the street at the bar All about Eve
