I had a lovely first experience at butchers, with the lovely Judy. She made me feel at ease from the moment we met, gave me good advice after listening to my ideas and a great cut! She also gave me a great colour consultation and I've booked in to have colour done with her in a few weeks time. Aside from my experience with Judy the salon is calming from the moment you walk in, the complimentary massage is SO good and the coffee is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Although a little more expensive than my usual visit to a salon, 100% worth it and so happy to have found somewhere that ticks all the boxes :) UPDATE: (6ish months later) I first came to judy around 6 months ago. She gave me a great cut and has such a lovely relaxed nature, since then I feel like I've found 'my hairdresser' (historically I've always jumped from place to place). Since my first cut I've also had a balayage done with Judy which was incredible (best colour quality I've ever had and such attention to detail). Today I had a whole style change (we cut in a full fringe). Judy's cuts always grow out so well, her colour has aged incredibly and everyone I come to her with a new idea or question about hair cut, colour or style she is so helpful in helping me achieve the look I'm going for a maintain it outside of the salon. I now get excited for my treat trip to the salon rather than anxious as I might have before finding butchers. The rest of the staff seem so lovely, the relaxing massage upon entry is always wonderful and the vibe so so chill, you wouldn't know you were in central Camden. I love visiting Butchers, easy to find only a few mins from the tube station. The salon is always clean and spacious, and all of the staff are lovely - checking in with you and offering drinks. Jem is always attentive and up for recommending what will work best for the look youre trying to achieve and really takes the time to understand what youre aiming for. Wont be going anywhere else.
