Disgusting and unhygienic
I purchased a decaf coffee and a pasty. The counter staff, a man and a woman, were rude and disinterested. I asked Jody (the male) if he could give the pasty a zap in the microwave as it was chilled. He unwrapped it and placed it in the microwave with his bare hands. While it was heating he was biting his right index finger nail. He then proceeded to remove the pasty with the same bare hand and put it in a paper bag. Then. It gets worse. He makes my coffee and while it was brewing he picked up the lid for the cup (of course with the hand that had been in his mouth) then he transferred the lid to his left hand while he reached up under his shirt to scratch his lower back with his right hand. He THEN transferred the lid back to his right hand , his fingers all over the mouth-hole and inside of the lid, he then folded his arms over each other, still holding the lid and tucked it under his arm up by his armpit. Then he placed the lid on the cup and said there you go. Being a professional chef, chocolatier and baker I highly recommend you train staff in simple dos and donts at the very least.
The cafe is disgusting.
