However, I was slightly disappointed that we were not able to use the on site gym within our 6 week stay - we were told that due to coronavirus restrictions the gym was open to residents only, however this stay was during a time when no restrictions were in place.
We also only had one key fob between me and my colleague which made it very difficult for us to have to plan our time so that we could both get to work on time and both have access to the parking upon finishing work.
I also couldn't manage to get the heating working until the 5th week, after countless times asking the hosts we couldn't work it out as the I had followed all of the instructions but it was still not working. I felt the hosts were not the most helpful with this issue and wanted to charge us 37.50 each for a "mid-stay clean" in which someone would also look at the heating. I felt this was quite steep as after all I just needed some further guidance on how to get the heating working. I had to ring a plumber in the end to guide me on how to get it working.
We were also charged 37.50 each for a mid -stay clean in which our towels and bedding were changed and a quick clean was given and then a further 70 EACH for an end of stay clean which is very expensive in my opinion but I suppose it is a big apartment and they may clean everywhere thoroughly - something to be aware of for future guests.
We also did not have access to the post box key, which is slightly inconvenient bearing in mind we were staying for 6 weeks and may need to order things including lateral flow tests as we both work within the healthcare industry. My colleague spoke to the management company about the postbox key and they were quite rude and abrupt with her, telling her they had "nothing to do with it" and did not provide any further advice. We also emailed the hosts and felt they were quite rude with their response too and were in no rush to resolve this -"Did you not get my last email? I said we would work on getting you access to this but it will not be today".
I would stay here again as the apartment was beautiful and homely and the location was brilliant and that is the main thing, however I feel the owners should consider a second key fob for guests who have two cars.
