FMI PLUMBING & DRAINAGE

We had a blocked sink between the Christmas and New year, we called him and he cleared the blockage but reconnected the U pipe in reverse and tightened the PE pipe fittings with some tool (which apparently should be tightened by hand always), he charged 130 for about half an hour work because that was the hourly rate and minimum amount he charges. We started using the sink and noticed a leakage after he left, called him and he said some of the parts we have under the sink are not correct for our setup (I couldn't understand the details), we need some new parts and it'd cost about 50 for him to do it in next day. We tried rebuilding the pipes in correct way but couldn't remove the fittings by hand since he tightened them quite hard with a tool. It took us around 2 weeks to find a tool for that since normal wrenches doesn't open that wide and heavy tools might damage the plastic fittings. Leakage stopped when we finally found and bought a new tool to remove them and reconnect the pipes in correct way by hand. I don't want to say he had bad intentions, but I find it hard to believe that a seemingly experienced plumber wouldn't know that those fittings should be tightened by hand even if connecting it reverse was a honest mistake.

We had a plumbing emergency on Boxing day, and having been let down by our insurance company, I called Paul at 5pm. He arrived before 5:30 and fixed our burst pipe quickly and professionally, and offered follow ups if we had any problems. Very responsive to texts and friendly service.
