I'm a long-term customer. This most recent visit necessitated finding a particular spare part (which for an 18 year old car was likely to be tricky) They found the part, explained the price to me and then did the work a few days later. Open, approachable, completely trustworthy and I always feel they will do their very best to sort my problem out rather than just see how much money they can make out of me which has been my experience in other places. Very friendly, good communication and reasonably priced. We had the timing belt replaced on our Ford Focus 2012 1.0 ecoboost engine. Not an easy job and an expensive one. Archdeacon were very clear in their quote, providing an itemised list of all the parts and labour hours, and the final cost was accurate to the quote. They were honest about the level of experience their mechanics have with this job - they'd only done 3 of them before with this engine and only recently bought the specialist tools required. They agreed (to their credit) that the Ford specialist garage would have more experience so I got a quote from Marshall Ford but they were much more expensive. The repair was done quickly and I was called when it was ready for collection. One month in and the car is working well, hopefully it'll keep that way!
