Recently moved out of the area but this was the best GP Ive ever had. 9/10 I was always able to get an appointment face to face on the day or else I could book one very soon after. Listened to all my health concerns and was checked out.

One of the receptionists was extremely unprofessional and rude when I called yesterday morning with serious symptoms for five days. I described my severe symptoms and she told me we dont have any availability, call 111 and then she hung up, sounding even bored or irritated as if this is not her job and that patients are calling there just for fun(!). I had to call again and was lucky enough to speak with another receptionist who immediately booked me in for an appointment on the same day. Makes me think when the first receptionist dismissed me without any hesitation, is she supposed to help people or at least not obstruct them from getting any help, or she has the power to make blind egotistic and harmful decisions? Also a couple of more points: when making an appointment it doesnt hurt confirming whether its via phone or face to face - the last 2-3 years I had all my appointments via phone, so face to face is not the default de facto, as you claimed. Finally, when I arrived 15min early for my appointment I was locked outside, due to training at the surgery, despite explaining to a lady inside that I was full of sweat and shivering since I came there with 39C fever (and had not been informed that the surgery would be closed for some time). This was not just rude, this is inhuman and shows lack of any elementary sense of empathy. May I remind you that a healthcare system is supposed to treat individuals and not sacks of potatoes? A bit of common sense and less arrogance from some of your staff is something you need to look intomaybe thats what you really need training for. I hope someone from your surgery will read this so that less people will have to go through the same treatment. I would even appreciate a personal feedback from this complaint, but probably asking for too much, I know.

First class practice. From making the initial call to the GP telephone call back I found them efficient, caring and professional. Thank you
