CB1 Building and Carpentry

Alistaire and his team have done a tremendous job at our house. We have worked with Alistaire for around 6 months now and I have yet to come across someone more professional, great at his job and an absolute perfectionist! I cannot recommend him highly enough and look forward to working with him on other projects around our house. So far we have had: - a few internal doors replaced, carefully customised to fit by Mickey and Alistaire - our breakfast room patio door replaced to a beautiful double glazed black aluminium finish - Alistaire was accomodating of our schedule and managed to install our patio door as soon as it was delivered by the manusfacturer and all this before Christmas! His team and him spent the day working in the snow to ensure this - Alistaire replied to queries almost instantly on the phone (even weekends!) via messages and was always available - He provided a fair and affordable quote for the work and carried it out to the best standard. We look forward to having our kitchen re-done and more. Thank you Alistaire for all your exceptional work!

We are so happy we went with CB1 for our ground floor renovation project. The works included knocking through two load bearing walls, a complete redesign and refit of the kitchen, rewiring, replastering, new radiators, a new side door, replacing old, external lead pipes and a cloakroom renovation. They've also replaced and relocated our very old boiler to the loft. The end result is fantastic and we are so thrilled with how it completely changed our house and optimized the way we use the different rooms. The plumbing works greatly increased the water pressure etc. in the whole house, which is a huge improvement too. We had a lot of problems with our kitchen company but nothing was insurmountable for CB1 -- they were always ready to adapt and find a solution. Alistaire handled all the issues we encountered efficiently and informed us at every step. I am so thankful for his support in these sometimes complex situations! The quality of their work and attention to detail was second to none, they made great suggestions and were always open to discussing possible options. A special shoutout to Mickey and Billy for their amazing work, especially on the bespoke cabinets. Everyone who worked on the project was friendly and considerate, they arrived early each morning, tidied up when they left and were always careful to properly close the gate at the end of each day. Alistaire's communication throughout the project was excellent-- he was always quick to reply to our messages and we knew exactly who was coming, when and what they would be doing. He kept us informed all the time, and even sent pictures (and a video!) when we were away for a few weeks so that we could follow the progress. You can tell that he really cares about his projects and the satisfaction of his clients. We already asked them if they could take on another future big project and we could not recommend CB1 highly enough. Many thanks to all!

Extremely good service from CB1 Building and Carpentry, we needed a quick visit from them before we exchanged on a property, they came the next working day and provided us with helpful information and advice. We would definitely recommend them!

Fantastic work from CB1 over several months for extensive renovation work to our home. Alistaire managed a complex project beautifully, including plumbing and heating with Matt, electrics, walls, floors, ceilings, bathrooms, decoration, roof/brick repairs, and fencing. Smaller jobs and finishing are currently in progress. The quality of work has been excellent conscientious and intelligent: Communications, advice, creative problem-solving, team leadership (CB1 team and subcontractors), attention to detail, energy, and business management. Alistaire and his team won our total confidence. We are delighted with CB1 and look forward to continuing work with them.

CB1 came highly recommended by a neighbour. They have done a few electrical jobs for us and recently uplifted our old deck and installed new composite decking, which looks fantastic. Alistaires communication is really good and they are a great team, but special thanks to Billy and MJ for turning up in all weathers to get the deck completed!
