Rutherford's Punting Cambridge

Our punt with John was the perfect end to our Easter Sunday. John was the loveliest tour guide, whose history knowledge was excellent; my own history GCSE paled into insignificance by comparison. As we passed the seven or so colleges along our trip, John pointed out many amusing facts and some genuinely thoughtful observations about some of Cambridges past scholars, such as Alan Turing. An absolute A-grade tour guide who could probably lecture in History, but who chooses to take people punting because its clearly his passion. Would happily return again. Highly recommend! Jess & Lou

Absolutely brilliant from start to finish! Our tour guide Matt was so full of knowledge and super friendly. Would highly recommend a trip with Rutherford's, we will 100% be back in the summer. Can't rate them (and Matt!) highly enough

To be fair, some of the most annoying aspects were out of the companys control, including a crying baby & a windy day. Moments after we booked the tickets,we were texted that our selected time had been moved back one hour. Then, we got a punter who was on his second trip ever, didnt know anything about the sites, and had so many head on collisions it felt like bumper boats. The tour started 15 minutes late and the tour ended up being 1.5 hours long instead of 45 minutes, which made us late for other activities on an already tight schedule due to the change in booking. I didnt expect anything that costs 50 could be quite as miserable and poorly executed.
