The host will ask you to take your shoes off on arrival (a bit weird) but does not provide slippers so you are expected to walk around in your socks. I found this extremely inhospitable, never in an B&B I have been asked to do this, insisted on me using hand gel which I don't mind but only the first time I entered the property (apparently you can't transmit germs after that when you enter the premises).
Room was a decent size but the carpet was old (and i was in my socks) and pillows are very uncomfortable. However, the toilet was clean. The room was freezing. I noticed that somebody has been in my room the following evening when I was not there, all my belongings were in the room. I don't why the host had to enter the room because I didn't notice a bedding change.
Property claims to have parking onsite but when I asked for it, the host told me that another car is coming in later and my car would probably be blocked so suggested parking on the street. The street parking is abit far off from the property and not within sight at all. P.s. I didn't see any other car parked at the property in the evening or the next morning.
I am unsure how the host managed to charge me extra fees without me actually presenting my card for the late arrival. I contacted Expedia about the transaction and they claimed the payment was not authorised through them, this has now been reported.
Breakfast is very sub-standard.
The host is quite in your face asking a lot of questions about when you will leave, check out time etc. I felt very uncomfortable.
Overall, unpleasant stay and would not recommend.
