I needed a special place for a good friend visiting all the way from Singapore. Heard a lot about this place and impressed with its perfect 5 star rating at >120 reviews. I now know why! I attended with a group of 7 friends and we all ordered the slow roasted lamb shank based on previous recommendations from friends. Saying that, I've never been to a place where I've wanted everything on the menu! I also couldn't resist ordering the Super Saiyan Wagyu burger. The service from Mahdi & Co was fantastic and you can really see the hard work they put into providing perfect cuisine and service. Onto the food: I can honestly say the best roast I've had was here! The flavours, texture, aesthetic were all phenomenal! I love that it doesn't only have to be available on a Sunday. I will definitely be back and although it's quite far out, it's worth the travel. The location also allows Mahdi to serve fine-dining food at accessible prices meaning an expanded audience can enjoy such a wonderful dining experience. I respect that ethos.

Don't bother with all these reviews. Stop reading and save yourself some time. Drove over an hour and half to come here This is just a cafe.. small one at that... Just walk on.... Also they'll be closing soon anyway.... .... Still here? Well booked for me, wife and 3 kids. Yes... It's a plain but clean cafe. But the food, presentation, service.... It's on a next level. It's like you walked into a cafe.. expecting some dodgy greasy food, but are then met with Michelin quality food. It's like it's designed to mess with your senses. You keep looking up and around and see a cafe, you look down and see Michelin quality food... And think wth? You can't decide if the cafe surrounding is real and your in a 5* Michelin restaurant due to the food or the Cafe is real and the food is an illusion. I actually think this was done on purpose.. part of some social experiment! If you want fine dining and halal this is a amazing choice. Wife really enjoyed it. Best thing about it ... It's closing down. So glad to hear it. .. and opening in Whitechapel so closer to us! I won't bother adding pictures as other people have done that and this is the first time in my life, the food actually looks like the Instagram pictures.
