Downhouse Farm Holidays

Fantastic long weekend at Downhouse Farm to celebrate my sons 30th Birthday. Booking process was simple and efficient Kate kept me up to date with emails and messages. Upon arrival there was a small welcome pack of tea coffee milk crisps and cake - thank you. The farmhouse is excellent, large well furnished rooms with a home from home feel, the kitchen is extremely well equipped, with lots of crockery glasses etc, as well of just about everything you would need for a short stay. The bedrooms were roomy and airy and the showers were very good power showers. The living rooms had plenty of room for us all to sit and there was an extensive library of DVDs and games available. The garden was fenced in so no worries letting the dogs out for a run. Kate was just next door if you needed anything, not that we did. Location is great, a 20 min stroll into Dursley where there are a good selection of Pubs and eateries, the Old Spot Inn is a must!. Set at the foot of Cam Peak, this walk is literally on the doorstep. I would strongly recommend this holiday home to anyone. we will no doubt return next year.

We have just returned from a fantastic long weekend stay at Downhouse Farm where I stayed as part of a family group of 6 people (3 couples). The house is beautiful, large, spacious and immaculate and exactly as described on the website. It enjoys a great location, providing a peaceful and relaxing environment with the gorgeous Cotswolds countryside and many local walks immediately available. Kate is an excellent host, provided timely and informative communication ahead of our stay and was on hand if required over the weekend. You can book Downhouse Farm with confidence - I have no hesitation in recommending it as a fantastic weekend venue and would happily return in the future.
