We lived here for 12 months. - Good location for commuting to Leeds/Bradford - Overpriced, flatters to deceive. For the same price of a 2 bed flat in The Grange, you can get a 3 bed semi with garden in LS28. - Rules not enforced - people regularly smoking inside building. - Some emptyrooms let out on nightly basis (via AirBnB, etc.) meaning parties and people that don't respect the building/residents. - Security is poor - front entrance door broken/kicked in a few times each month and takes 2 or 3 days to be fixed (see picture). - Post not secure, and often stolen from communal reception area. - Windows and frames very thin, old and ridiculously inefficient - heating bill is 3 times the amount of a same size flat with efficient windows. - You have to request meter reading from property manager every time you want one, and have no direct access to your own electricity meter. - Manager selective about replying to emails, and slow to reply. - Was advertised as unfurnished - brought my furniture - it was already furnished. Not ideal. - Bathroom fan sparked and broke, kitchen tap was very wobbly, floorboards were moving/sliding in kitchen. All issues raised in Jan '20 and were never fixed (we moved out end of June '20). - Fixtures and fittings low quality - the bath in our flat was wobbly. - The "2 bed flats" are essentially 1 bed flats - as the "bedroom" is a mezzanine level within the same living space. - Our flat front door handle was always loose/wobbly - raised this when moved in (July '19) and was never fixed or even acknowledged. - Extraction system is totally useless - extract from kitchen, the smell is moved to bathroom, and vice versa. - No bicycle storage, despite being advertised as having it by the letting agent.
