I never usually leave reviews. However after the problems weve had this week its just the final straw. I appreciate that the last couple of years have been very difficult especially within the NHS, however this surgery is just a joke. Phoning day after day after day and not getting an appointment is just not acceptable anymore. Ive read a review from a GP on here saying they have recruited more reception staff and call handlers. So why whenever you ring are you on hold for ages just to be told they dont have appointments. You cant book in advance and you cant get appointments on the day. A week ago my husband had to go to an out of hours GP at 5.30am because he couldnt get to see anyone and now that he needs a follow up appointment he cannot get one. He has sent a picture to the surgery because the receptionist said to and she would get a GP to look at it, they have looked and the GP has said he needs to be seen but they dont have any appointments so what exactly is he supposed to do. Two days now phoning three times a day. 8.00/12 and 3.45 and no appointments, what is going on. Sorry for such a long review but something has to change at this practice because we cannot be the only Ones having issues.

I've never actually made it to this practice. Got my notice in December for my cervical cancer screening 2 months later finally managed to get through after try after try to ring only to have an automated voice tell me "the queues are full" and it's doesn't matter what time of day you call either as I tend to avoid the 8 and midday times. Got an appointment for a month later only to get a text to say they had cancelled it a week before and moved it to a Saturday at a different surgery which I couldn't attend and since then I have again been unable to get through. I have worked in the NHS before and during the pandemic I know the struggles but this is a joke now.

Waited a full half an hour in a phone queue this morning only to finally speaking to a receptionist who told me there were no appointments and to call back at 12 midday which I did. No appointments were left by the time my call was answered and I was told to ring again tomorrow or call 111. Complete waste of time, and yet they are bugging my husband to contact surgery because they haven't seen him in years and he is fit and well.

This practice is losing its credibility and trust of its patients, cant fault the Doctors who are doing their best in trying times but some of the receptionists well thats another matter rude ignorant and need to get another job if they dont or cant work along side the public who are needing help after all it is a Doctors!! Come on west lodge buck your ideas up !!!!
