We contacted Dartmoor Energy to inquire about retrofitting an old stone cottage with an air source heat pump and possibly solar panels. They did an initial site visit to complete a heat loss assessment of the cottage which was very thorough taking two hours to complete. The two gentlemen were very knowledgeable and proficient in explaining the two systems and did so in terms we could understand and grasp. They were very timely in sending a very detailed report of their findings and a very reasonable quote for the work to be done. We asked if a further site assessment could be done to determine where the new equipment would be installed and how much disruption would occur to complete all the fitting as the cottage is quite old and retained a lot of its charm and character. There was no hesitation in them agreeing to do this even though we had not signed a contract for the work. Max returned with Jim and a further 2 hour assessment was done to determine where the radiators and heat pump would be fitted. In the end, we made the decision to not move forward with the works at this time. The decision was solely made due to we felt it would take away too much character from the cottage. We felt very comfortable with their assessments and feel confident they would have completed the job to a very high standard. To top it off though, wed had 4 hours of expertise in assessing and educating us on the unique energy challenges living in an old stone cottage and not once been asked to pay for any of it. When we offered to pay them for the assessments, they declined the offer in lieu of a review. Wow! We have already shared this positive experience with several people in our village and will continue to sing the praises of Dartmoor Energy for years to come!

Excellent!! I cannot express how efficient and professional the service from Dartmoor Energy has been. They have been able to make happen what other companies have failed dismally at, not only that, they're a pleasure to deal with. They have gone above and beyond, 5 star work, 5 star customer service. Had an air source heat pump installed by Dartmoor energy.I have to say they were excellent . From the start the communication was excellent. A lot of time was spent on the planning phase which for me were crucial.The installation team were first class. i was on site for the whole installation so i could have been a pest but the team were great and put up with my questions.finally the quality of the finished install was great. working exactly as expected Service: Heating system installation

Dartmoor Energy installed a Mitsubishi Ecodan 5Kw Air Source Heat Pump last December 2020. Jim and his team were very personable and professional. Their work was of a very high standard and I had little remedial or decorative work to do after they had completed their installation.My cottage is 220 years old and is of stone & cob construction. I have not experienced this high level of central heating since I left Canada where I grew up. Dan & Jim estimated that my running cost would be about 500 per annum. After nine month of use, I would consider that to be a very accurate estimate. The system is very quite and and I hardly am aware of it. Jim was helpful in guiding me through applying for the Renewable Heat Incentive, so I am now receiving quarterly payments which will total approximately 70% of my capital outlay. I tconsider the secret of having a successful air source heat pump installation lies in selecting the right team of installers. Service: Heating system installation
