An encounter of two halves A course leader who did not make me feel welcome, either by personal dislike or, more likely, as a result of a substantial misandristic blind spot, when comparing her interactions with the other participants, all female. A generous and talented cook/chef who spoilt us with delightful meals and sought any opportunity to use his talent for our benefit.

I've just spent an enjoyable 6 days here as a resident student. Can't praise Tessa enough for her patient, caring and thoughtful tuition to me as a beginner in drawing and painting. The studio is a magical space to spend time in. I feel I've learnt loads that I can apply now. Peter provides the logistical support and is the chef- I ate very well with really tasty beautifully presented food and 'naughty' deserts! It was both a lovely place to be on holiday and educational too... Tessa and Peter are warm and generous hosts. Loved it!

Have been to many art exhibitions here. You are always welcomed in to what is essentially their home to view local artists exhibitions.
