Both me and my son joined Family Martial Arts about twelve months ago, Best decision I've ever made. My sons confidence has grown tenfold, and my fitness and health has improved. Made a lot of new friends in this great family orientated school. In a nut shell, Great environment, Great people, Fantastic instruction.

Our son started off as a tiny fledgling Tiger Tot and has gradually, over the years, moved up the belts. He is now way on his way to black belt and he's still only 8. I can honestly say that enrolling him at the FMAC has to be one of the best things we could have ever done for him. In addition to the obviously important self defence, he is learning self respect, discipline, motivation, and is constantly encouraged by his instructors to believe in himself, that you can achieve great things if your willing to put in the hard work, effort and have the right attitude. His Dad joined him a couple of years back and it's great to see dad and lad have that "special thing" that they can do together and encourage each other. Master Cunliffe has become a mentor to our lad and a fantastic role model to whom he really looks up to. They have made some great friends there and feel like their part of a very big family, and will do for many many years to come :-)

We've been coming here for 12 months now. The groups are very family orientated with a mixture of ages from small children to adults. Originally we joined to try and give our 8 year old a little confidence as he was having a few problems with other children. I can honestly say "Mission Accomplished". My two boys aged 8 and 5 really took to it, they were excited about going to classes and have felt major achievements when they've earned a new belt. Myself and my husband also enjoyed the classes just as spectators. The instructor is excellent and is very good with children, he makes the classes enjoyable for both children and adults and my husband has now joined the ranks. No class is boring, it teaches excellent self defence techniques and the instructor likes to ensure they engage in alot of exercise. It is something my husband gets to do with his boys as well as a way to get regular exercise which he never got before. My boys are about to earn their red belts and are aiming for their black belt. It helps with behaviour, confidence and most importantly lets them have a little fun whilst getting good exercise. I have and will recommend this to anyone looking for activities to get involved in as a family, its an excellent opportunity to make new friends and do things together.
