Number One The Laurels

Honestly one of the best holiday lets I've ever stayed in. The location within central Buxton was great and gave us easy access to the rest of the Peaks. The apartment was extremely clean, lovely and warm, and very comfortable. Maria, our host, was very responsive to any queries and had left a multitude of things that helped make the stay easier - milk, tea/coffee, dishwasher tables......even a rather tasty cake to welcome us! Not only would I highly recommend this as a place to stay, we'll be returning later in the year and I'm really looking forward to it. Thanks for a wonderful stay Maria!

Recently returned from a stay in the Peak District town of Buxton, where we stayed at Number One The Laurels. We had a wonderful time there; the place is clean, cosy, has all the modern amenities and is perfectly located for walks into town, into the countryside or to use a base whilst discovering the local areas. The owner provides all the information you need, and is available if you require anything during your stay. During our stay the area was experiencing adverse weather conditions, which the owner informed me about and provided the necessary advice too! Highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Buxton for a few days, we really miss it and look forward to returning again one day in the future! Thank you :)

An amazingly comfortable, stylish and well located place to stay. This is how self caterting should be; Maria has thought of everything you might need and chosen furnishings with great discrimination and flair. All the administration was also very efficient. Buxton, and this flat in particular, is a wonderful location. So much to see and do withing a 15 mile radius. We will definitely return and, hopefully, this flat will be available!
