Elmwood Medical Centre

Responding to the terrible reviews recently, I must say I have received nothing but excellent care, courtesy and concern at this practice. Nothing is too much for the doctors, receptionists and staff to help me. Everyone there works so hard for us and they are often overtired and I think some patients need to remember that.

Learning that Elmwood Medical Practice (Buxton) has been rated 'inadequate' comes as no surprise to me. My only disbelief is that it came as a surprise to those whom manage Elmwood. The practice has been run to suit the selfish preferences of its staff, not the essential needs of its patients. Elmwood is an utterly disgraceful example of how not to run a medical practice. Those responsible for the protracted failures of Elmwood should bow their heads in shame and seek alternative employment with non-essential service providers like Amazon or B&Q, for example.

This practice needs investigating , One particular very rude receptionist who is so obstructive , Dr Hodgkinson treated me like a liar and was rude to me because my symptoms " didn't add up " went through agony for many months until one doctor was so concerned she sent for an MRI scan where spinal cord tumours were diagnosed .. resulting in neurosurgery and years of recovery , ... Told I was lucky to get through by the surgeon Now with another practice ..
