Just walked through the conservatory & shocked to see so many dead plants, bedding areas ripped out to make way for a tacky bar area, tacky 'bird art' where beautiful, mature plants were. My heart broke to see the disgraceful ruination of a delightful area that was always kept to a high standard with stunning plants. There are plenty of bars in Buxton but only 1 public conservatory. \ THREE MONTHS ON: Following the petition, work has be done to bring it back up to a wonderful standard!!!!

Despite being fully renovated many years ago, the flowers and plants are very well maintained and presented. The place looks fresh and is as warm as a botanical garden should be. Situated next to the Opera House, it's worth a visit if you're in the gardens or close by.
