The Buxted Inn

Food was really nice and very good value for the quality. Service really friendly and attentive and made us feel very welcome. Good selection of beers and a nice pint of guiness. Must be a lovely local for people who live near by. We stayed and the rooms were great for the price very comfortable and nice shower. Would definitely return if in the area and would reccomend wholeheartedly

Oh dear I guess there has been a change of owner - we went for the steak deal plus starters from the menu My husband said the ham and cheese croquettes were really good however my smoked mackerel mouse was lacking in smoke and flavour and didnt include any bread/toast so I had to order a portion of bread which was a very dry brioche slice The beetroot cake thing was lovely My steak was so chewy as to be inedible and then I was offered an alternative meal as the cut of steak had gristle on it and another one was likely to be the same so reluctantly I had fish and chips which was ok I was told we wouldnt be charged for the 2 glasses of Prosecco we had and then we were then only one was taken off the bill A very unsatisfactory meal all round and I will not be returning- when a meal is poor in my opinion that should be credited not a couple of glasses of wine!
