        Perfect place to park to explore the Buttermere valley. We have use it to walk around the lake and to explore the surrounding fells. Today, for a loop over Haystacks via a dip in the amazing natural infinity pool just 15 minutes walk from the car park. Theres about 20 parking spaces but we always find a space on non weekend/school holiday days. As of 2 May 2023 all day parking is 4 payable in coins only at a pay and display machine. Not a surprise as very poor mobile signal in that part of the valley. We will be back!

        Cash only machines, coins only, 4 for the day. Gets busy, if it is, carry on driving to Buttermere, it will probably be busy as well. Cafe here does nice ice-cream
