        Very comfortable, warm, accommodation and excellent food. View of wildlife and good base for walks. Walkability: Great location for serious walking.

        Rooms: Super rooms with views over Buttermere Lake. Safety: Very safe location away from the madding crowd. Walkability: Lots of varied ability walks in the area, which can be started from the house. Food & drinks: Food is excellent and booked the evening prior. One evening at a pub 3 minutes drive or 20 minute walk as the resident staff have one night off, which they really deserve. Packed lunches for our walks were great and a wide selection of drinks available.
