Fairfield General Hospital

Be prepared for a wait with A&E but no different to any other hospital. Always found treatment to be pretty quick once you've been assessed. Doctors / Nurses are always helpful and professional. My go to hospital.

My husband was admitted to Ward 7 via A & E and Rochdale Infirmary during Easter Monday and spent a total of 5 days in the hospital. We cannot praise highly enough the efficient care and treatment he received in all areas. We would like to thank all of the staff at Rochdale urgent care centre, Fairfield A & E and especially the staff on Ward 7. He is now at home and recovering. Many thanks again.

fell down the stairs and injured my back. The ambulance came because my heart was hurting and took me to another hospital. Unfortunately, the ambulance easily left me in the wrong building without any help or report, and I was without a wheelchair. ...I immediately went to the field hospital with the help of my family. In a short period of time, I received all the treatment related to the heart and X-ray(fracture ). the best hospital in Manchester.many many thanks thanks

Called the outpatients department to book an interpreter for my mother as I am not allowed to interpret on her behalf. I was asked for her NHS number, DOB, address etc. Once I confirmed all these details, the receptionist asks if my mum is with me. I explain that my mum was not with me as I was calling from work and even if she was, she doesnt speak English. I proceeded to further explain that I do not finish work till 6pm and the department closes at this time. Anyway I couldnt book an interpreter as she was not with me and neither could I confirm the doctors name she was seeing. After telling the receptionist that this is a joke she cuts the phone!!! This appointment was already rebooked following a clinic being cancelled which we found out about when we turned up at the hospital, no prior notice was given. Really appalled by the state of our NHS. My taxes go on a service which we have to fight to receive.
