I have recently purchased a car from Hawkes and cannot applaud the team enough. They were well informed and patient, helping me every step of the way. When an issue with the car came about, they were swift and efficient in insuring it was sorted for me. Fabulous garage, would highly recommended.

My friend went into Hawkes garage today to test drive the Nissan quahqai 1.5dci, for the second time and had spoken to the salesman who was very friendly and helpful the previous day, my friend had explained she was waiting for confirmation of payment into her account from the insurance claim which could take 3 to 5 working day, my friend really liked the car and after her second test drive today they had said to the salesman they would like to purchase the car, my friend was very pleased with the car and was excited, they noted all the details down and asked for 300 deposit which was no problem, my friend then repeated what she had said about waiting for the money to be deposited into her account and would not probably pick the car up till next Tuesday or wednesday, (They would have a non refundable 300 deposit to secure the car). This is when All, the great service went out the door, my friend was told that they would not keep the car till next week the car had to be paid for this week, even though my friend had discussed her issue with him about the insurance claim. The salesman did not offer any other solution, it was if a switch was turned off to service. My friend felt very let down and extremely disappointed with the out come, they were very much looking forward to purchasing the car. Where do they go from there .

We called in the morning to advise we wanted to look at and test drive a vehicle, as we wanted to make sure it was still available. When we viewed the car it was at the back of the showroom. My partner pointed out low tread on a tyre and then asked if it was possible to test drive. We were then told that a test drive wouldn't be available that day due to having no trade plates on site, which having worked in the motor industry, is a very poor excuse when you have potential customers. He didn't even offer an alternative day. We were ready to make a purchase that day had the vehicle been right, but sadly as a result of not being able to test drive it, having driven almost an hour to see the vehicle, we purchased a vehicle from another garage , which couldn't be more helpful and transparent, less than an hour later. Will not be revisiting this garage or recommending to anyone else.
