The Poplars Nursing Home

My Mum was at Poplars Nursing Home in Burton on Trent for only 3 weeks before she sadly passed away. The staff were all amazing, every single one of them. Alison the manager, all the admin staff, the nurses, the carers, the kitchen staff, the cleaners etc etc were all very experienced, welcoming, friendly, in fact they all went above and beyond to settle my Mum in to keep her happy and comfortable. We couldn't have asked for anything more. I can highly recommend them to anyone with elderly relatives wit dementia.

My Mum has just moved in. I expected this to be a very traumatic time for us all as she is 91, not young to move somewhere she knows noone. However, after a long taxi ride, the staff made us very welcome. Within an hour mom was tucked up in bed all cosy and settled after having had a nice wash. She has a huge delicious looking cheese toastie and she looked very content. I went to see her the next day and she looked equally happy. The staff have all been super friendly and helpful. The place is as clean as anything and smells lovely the food is delicious - I am impressed so far!!
