They have loved and looked after my mum for 10 years. Absolutely wonderful team. Going above and beyond to keep my mum happy and comfortable especially in her last few weeks. I can not thank them enough.

I have nothing but praise for the team at Home Instead Burton. They have cared for mum for many years and have been just lovely to her (and to me). Always willing to go the extra mile, flexible in approach, attentive to mum's changing needs and basically just brilliant. I live many miles away and have been grateful so many times when I have needed someone to rely on that we chose Home Instead. I have recommended them to others and would not hesitate to continue to do so. Just terrific.

Mum was reluctant to have carer's come in and help her first thing in a morning. However she enjoyed them coming and was well looked after by Home Instead staff Would highly recommend.

Our family had the privilege of receiving Care for Dad from the "Home Instead Elderly Care team up untill Dad passed away in March 2021. DAD'S TEAM coordinated by Lynne Bendall (so efficient and excellent) looked after him for about 9 months untill he passed away at home with the support of the Palliative Care team and extra visits from Home Intead. It was clear from everyone how highly regarded "Home Instead" are especially by the staff at Burton Hospital and Midland Partnership. DAD'S start was typical: He had a fall, then another fall and a short hospital admission. He was soon readmitted and we agreed to a short stint of free Home Care from "Home First" (free for 6 weeks) the hospital discharge team. THEY assessed Dad as needing regular Home Care so the onus was on us and Dad to choose a Care team now. HOME FIRST really helped advise us and reassure us. I researched Care teams I adored Dad was very loved and we were nervous that we chose the right level of care and could sustain what we were offering which was Home Care for the rest of his life. After ringing for reviews from all the different organisations and looking at the Quality Commission reports it was obvious that Home Instead had a great reputation. Me and my brother were ALREADY doing 56 hour shifts with Dad on a rota. OUR intention was to continue but we needed help with personal care and moving Dad and for someone to come and cheer Dad up as well as he was increasing house and chair bound. THE REASON THEY GET 5 STARS...Every worker has to produce 6 references. The minimum time for a visit is about 45mins, visits are often an hour. THIS WAS PROBABLY important and the key to Dad's Carers building meaningful relationships with him AND a dignified service. The Carers always live very near you, you have a Care Coordinator and 24 hour response support.DAD'S Carers knew a lot of people he did. He took an interest in their lives and families and they talked with him about his life they were really lovely to be honest. THE connected Dad with the outside World again, he shared his life stories. It was during the lockdown it was a hard time for everyone and especially for Dad's team. Another rule Home Instead have is no one ever enters the house on their own who you don't already know. So a new Carer is always introduced by your usual Carer and shadows for a few visits first, THIS makes you feel more relaxed. I and the rest of the family won't ever forget Dad's team and all the Caring moments they shared with Dad. THEY saved the day AND helped us too. All Carers are amazing Organisations like "Home Instead Elderly Care" enable Carers to offer their best Care the way they always wanted to with time and care. The app to monitor and receive updates immediately and actions needed is inspired, and family can access this even when on holiday. So five stars from me.
