Great service. Called at 9am and boiler was fixed before lunch, even on a Sunday. Professional, explained the issue in simple terms and fixed without delay. Will be using for all plumbing needs in the future.

My letting agent engaged this company to get my tenants boiler backup and running. They said the PCB Board and condensate elbow needed to be replaced, as the tenants needed heating I agreed at cost of circa 500, which I knew to be high but had no time to seek alternative quotes. Two days later the tenants reported the boiler was making banging noises and not working. Midland heating were called back to look at it and they said it now needed to be flushed at a additional cost of 650 at this point I became suspicious and engaged a plumber I knew to be trust worthy to have a look. He actually did some investigation and looked for root cause. He found that the boiler heat exchanger was completely blocked and a flush would not have helped e.g. no water coming through the boiler drain at all. The competent plumber then replaced the entire boiler. When we began the replacement we found that midland heating had broken the condensate pipe in the wall, whilst trying to fit the condensate elbow to the boiler. We had to remove sections of the wall and tiles to get to enable access to the pipe to repair, causing further damage. Midland Heating never reported this damage and had we not replaced the boiler it would have leaked in the wall for years causing significant further damage. In summary, they failed to diagnose the root cause of the boiler issue, quoting for and completing unnecessary work and worse still damaged my property further. When I called to challenge what they had done directly, they referred to the agent and said not their problem. I have never come across such a poor quality tradesman. Do yourselves a favour and avoid this company. I only hope this review will prevent others from having similar experiences.

My boiler had broken down, l knew it was the fan that had failed. My insurance company allocated Midland Heating and Plumbing Services to diagnose and repair. The engineer confirmed that the fan had failed but told the insurance company that it was due to the water in the system being contaminated with sludge and limescale although no water test had been carried out. Because of this the insurance company refused to approve the repair. So, I engaged another engineer who just happened to do work for the same insurance company, he arrived on site and confirmed that the fan had indeed failed. He also did a Adey water test the result of which was that the water in the system was clear and not contaminated in the slightest, not only that but the water in the system does not come into contact with the fan - or any electrical parts so even if the water had been contaminated it would not have stopped the fan. A new fan was fitted and the boiler was fine and working as it should be. The engineer that did the fix provided documented proof that the fan was the reason the boiler had broken down and that the water in the system was clear. This information was forwarded to the insurance company who have agreed to pay for the repair. I have requested that Midland Heating are not allocated to any repair I may need in the future and they have agreed- for obvious reasons! Be wary folks.
