What can I say, very disappointed, company was professional, but pointless, none of the work is carried out there, other than the assessment. I was quoted by other companies 450+, no fix no fee and that was out of my budget, then I came across essential data recovery and they quoted me 120+, once they received my drive they assessed the drive they said they had to open it to look at what the issue was and they couldn't get it recognised by a PC (that was the whole point of me calling and giving them this information to avoid all this unnecessary payments for assessments) which cost me 55+ just for the assessment not including the repair. Then they quoted me approx 550+ for repair and recovery, regardless of whether it can be fixed or not, even though the work was not going to be carried out by them. They also refused to take any responsibility for the drive, which makes me wonder, what on earth am I paying for? I ended up paying 80 all in all for sending and receiving my drive as well as them opening and looking at my drive. I stupidly fell for the initial low quote, don't be duped like how I was, save up the money and go with the big companies who actually do the work they quote for. Especially when it comes to recovering family photos, which are priceless.
