After a horrible experience of buying and returning a Mk8 Golf GTI to Cazoo, I decided I wanted to go down the Approved Used route. I found a GTI that fitted the bill in stock at T L Darby. Although it was a bit of a distance, as I am in Scotland, I gave them a call and spoke to Ben Ratcliff. Since I would potentially be buying from distance, I explained I wouldnt have the chance to pop down for an initial viewing, so Ben wasted no time in making a video of the car, showing everything in really good detail. I was happy with what I saw, so paid a 250 deposit over the phone in order to secure the car for me until it was ready for collection. Ben gave me a call the following day to agree a day to come and collect it, even picking me up from the local train station to take me to the Dealership which was a nice touch. I took the car for a quick test drive, before we did the paperwork and finalised the purchase. I have to say it was a really nice buying experience and Ben couldnt have been more helpful. The dealership itself gives off a family feel to it which is refreshing in this day and age of car supermarkets which are all a bit faceless. I would definitely recommend this dealership if you are looking for a VW and if Ben is dealing with you then thats even better
