Had an amazing time celebrating my friends wedding at the Seaside Boarding House. The service was top notch, the staff was extremely friendly, efficient and welcoming. We loved the food which was delicate and refreshing. The cocktails were very good in particular the sunset tequila. The view was outstanding. Thank you for having us, we had a really great time!

I've left it a while to review as I was waiting for a reply to the 2-3 emails I'd sent. Christmas 2021 - took my Mum for a Christmas treat, amazing experience; beautiful food, friendly and efficient service, felt like a really special occasion. Worth every penny. Christmas 2022 - hoped for the same lovely treat for my Mum. Quite disappointing, service was bordering on hostile, at best resentful - understandable as it's tough working Christmas day but horrible to be at the recieving end of that. Food was patchy, some bits perfect (beef), other bits - appeared to be cooked without any care and seemed to have sat under a heat lamp for quite some time (mushy, over cooked sides). Some things completely missing from the dishes, with no obvious replacement. Service was very slow and we were asked to move before finishing. We felt like an inconvenience for most of the lunch. Not wanting to make a fuss on the day, (a few people were complaining and it looked like the staff had had enough), I emailed, hoping for some explanation - staff shortages or something.... No reply, nor any reply to my follow ups. I've previously viewed the seaside boarding house as somewhere to treat friends and family for a special occasion but this was so disappointing, I won't risk it again.
