It was brilliant to work with David. He carried out a complicated restoration and rebuilding project for the 200 year old railings and entrance gate. These are set within a granite wall so the measurements had to be exact, which he managed perfectly. The finials were unique to our house so he was able to reuse all those in good condition and create replicas for those that needed replacing. The end result is fabulous and has received many complements from friends and strangers alike. We could not be more pleased.

We wanted a front gate that would reflect some of the decorative features of our Edwardian house. We had looked hopelessly at the catalogues of the large firms of railing manufacturers and never seen anything we liked so it was great to find David. He used some photographs to design a gate that chimes perfectly with the house and worked hard to incorporate the original stone pillars and latch. We love the result. As another reviewer says, the process is not fast but then the gate is unique and made by a real craftsman who takes pride in his work.

A brilliant job. The railings played a major part in my house being nominated for a heritage award. David and the team did a first class job at a very good price and promptly. They were a joy to have around and never once complained about my appalling coffee.

David is a true craftsman who really enjoys his art. If you want a bespoke item, he is happy to take your ideas or give you a start with a variety of former commissions. The whole process was smooth and pleasant and we have a fabulous pair of gates that reflect David's skills and our wishes - he even accommodated a larger scroll to allow a slightly rotund cat to get through! This is not a quick process, so if you are looking for a quick turnaround, then really consider if this is for you. But if you want a true piece of craftsmanship, I would definitely recommend David.

From his initial sketches through to a refined full-scale design, he captured our wishes perfectly, and went on to create a stunning, bespoke gate that we are so proud of.
