Called up and ordered parts told they would arrive the next day... after a 40min drive, arrive to be told they are not in stock and no idea when they will be.

Great service for parts for our very old Yanmar marine engine, great to know manufacturers can still offer good service through friendly dealer.

AVOID - I contacted Marine Power (Gosport branch) to check a fuelling problem on my motorboat. They advised pulling up the floor to access and clean the fuel tank. Whilst sceptical (the boat was running again at this point), I agreed to proceed out of caution. When they had completed the work they tried to convince me the floor was springing up at the front of the cabin like it always did. It categorically did not spring up before they worked on it. They also damaged the fibre glass around the floors fixings, left oily marks all over the boat and tissue in the engine bay. It took me a full day to fit the floor down properly and to clean the boat. In exchange, together with the cost of repairing the fibre glass (for which I obtained a quote), they offered me a pathetic 10% discount on their 710 bill. After I contested this they asked to come inspect the damage - when I suggested a time and a date (during the week when I work, as they declined to come out during the weekend) they never responded. They are now attempting to pursue me for the full value of the invoice. My honest advice to boat owners is to avoid these cowboys at all costs. There is plenty of good independent, honest mechanics out there. These amateurs showed total careless disregard for my boat. Id put zero stars if I could. Pictures attached.
