Keen to remove bad reviews from here. Low staff morale, high staff turn around. Wouldn't recommend to apply for a vacancy. Criticism not welcome... Teachers trying despite brutal management.

Not happy with hearing children with special educational needs having a poor experience at this school.

It is now 40 years in May 1979 that i left Burscough Comp. To say it was a bad school then was an understatement. Bullying was rife and u was too scared to ever tell anybody. The teachers use to hit the kids and i witnessed two bad incidents.I had learning disabilities and we all were put together in forms 1 R 1 and 1 R 2 R meaning remedial so everybody knew how they ever got away with that i do not know. I escaped with a shorthand typist course in the last couple of years with a lovely teacher who left to have a baby. As for that form i was put in year 2 ruined one whole year of my younglife. I made sure my kids would never set foot int place.
