The Old Police House

A perfect family-home away from home. Only a 30 minute drive (or less) to all the major sites of the Yorkshire Dales AND the Lake District. The kitchen is a great place to discuss your plans over breakfast and to reminisce your day over dinner. There's plenty of space for the kids and parents to spend time together (or separately) on any rainy days that this part of the country may throw at you. For the days that you are blessed with sunshine there's also a quaint enclosed garden courtyard, perfect for evening drinks. There's even a little shop practically next door too, to satisfy your sweet-tooth cravings or to stock up on essentials. A great base for your family adventures. Highly recommend

The cottage was perfect, it has the most wonderful, peaceful and relaxing aura about it with tonnes of oldyworldy character, with everything you need, from the lovely log burner to relax in front of, to the open farm style kitchen, it felt so homely with all the little finishing touches, all the bedrooms are very comfortable, with a luxury bathroom with the deep roll top bath to unwind in, it's dog friendly which is brilliant too, with so much to do for everyone, we have booked in again and can not wait to come back, we would highly recommend this beautiful cottage. We loved absolutely everything of our stay at The Old Police House. It is a beautiful property, very spacious, perfect for a group of 5 people. The house is all new, really well decorated and full of nice touches. Kerri and Jamie are lovely hosts, communication with them was perfect and they suggested great things to do around, like stunning country walks. The outside area is very pretty and we had a great time there. 100% recommended!! Also, don't forget to visit Cowan Bridge Tea Room (30 seconds walk from the house) for a lovely breakfast and scones.

We stayed in the Old Police House as we wanted to visit the dales and it was the perfect location! Ingleton Falls was just 8 minutes away, we could visit the Dales and the lakes ! The cottage was much bigger than it looked in photos, was immaculate throughout and equipped with everything we needed. Theres a small shop next door and bigger supermarkets close by. Also a great salvage/antique place about 5 minutes away. We loved it and will definitely stay again. The perfect location and so cosy to come back to after a day visiting the beautiful surrounding areas
