They want money upfront before starting their job. Which is clear indication of not professional. despite my assurance to complete job first and have money he decided not to carry job. we wasted our valueable time. WFC turned up at short notice to clean windows which was appreciated but was charged an overinflated price of 50 cash in hand for 15-20 mins work on a small townhouse semi. For this price was expecting windows to be immaculate but still had smudges and spots on windows which was the whole reason I wanted a professional window cleaner, but I honestly cant tell the difference after they had washed the windows. To be fair some of the smudges were on the inside of windows but for 50 cash it should have also included cleaning of the windows from inside, however now have a few water marks, so Im going to have to pay someone else to sort it. The other quotes Ive received were mostly around 15 per clean so feel ive overpaid by at least 3 times the market rate. Moral of the story is always get a few quotes first so your not taken advantage of by paying way overinflated prices and check the windows before paying. If they charged everyone 50 cash per house for 15-20 minutes work WFC would only have to work a couple of hours per day so Ive definitely been ripped off there. 09/09/22 - Response to owners comments below. I never said the house hadnt had its windows cleaned in 3 years, but rather the house was 3 years old and I had only just purchased the house so dont know when the windows were last cleaned but they were not that dirty to start with given its a new house, it was mostly smudges and water marks. Also you didnt drive out of your way to just clean my windows, you said you already had a job in my area so would stop off, which isnt surprising given you were charging me 50 for 15-20 minutes labour regardless of whether there was 2 of you and the going rate for window cleaning from others Ive spoken to is 15. You didnt dry the windows hence the additional water marks and smudges. You said you would normally also clean inside of windows but youve stopped doing this incase you knock things over. Im surprised you had the audacity to respond given you dont a have a leg to stand on. You are certainly not charging 50 for 20 mins labour for the customers that are content with your service regardless of whether its a one off or regular otherwise they wouldnt use you on a regular basis. I also find it inappropriate for the owner of a business to just dismiss valid criticism especially when its so clear cut, and then claim my negative review is inappropriate when the windows look even more smudged and have more water marks than before due to the brushes they used and the fact they dont dry them. For 50 I could of bought my own equipment and done it myself. Service: Window washing
