BEWARE Disgusting, simply shocking toilet for disabled customers. The whole room was a mess. No toilet seat, toilet paper dispenser wrecked, soap dispenser broken and the hand dryer not working. No paper towels. We have used disabled toilets at football grounds and in public toilets far, far better than this. As if people don't know already Tesco cares only for profits, not customers. Our first visit to the store after lockdown and we received a parking ticket. My wife is disabled and classed as vulnerable during the Covid crisis so we had relied on deliveries. We are in our 70s and we needed the largest trolley and still had bags on each corner of the trolley and on the wheelchair handles. It was impossible to rush. In addition to the large shop we wanted to browse other departments and have a coffee afterwards to rest before returning home. We always park in a disabled bay and display my wife's blue badge but cameras are at the site entrance to catch anybody. So we have been penalised for being unable to rush. When I contacted Tesco their curt reply was 'contact the parking company, we can't help'. Surely Tesco employ the company ? Imagine everyone just doing a quick shop in every Tesco store, then leaving, their profits would certainly drop. So after shopping at the Burnley store since it opened, as they treat their elderly and disabled customers in this way we are now looking for a different place to shop. Any recommendations are welcome.
