Barrowford Surgery

EXTREMELY short staffed, takes a really long time to get a GP appointment, would not recommend. After waiting weeks for an appointment, I received a telephone call from the GP, unfortunately I did not get to the phone in time. I contacted the surgery less than TWO MINUTES following the GP's call and was told I would need to wait another week for a call back. I appreciate that I missed the call but most GP practices would attempt to contact the patient more than once. They clearly don't care about their patients. Avoid.

Long gone are the days of horrible doctors receptionists- this lot are lovely, kind and super efficient

This is only a small doctors surgery, but it is a fantastic one. They are up to date with all modern technology. This allows you to book appointments on line and order repeat prescriptions on line. There is the usual wait for a routine appointment. But there are emergency appointments available. And I must say this works very well. The girls on reception are absolutely amazing. Very very efficient, and so friendly and caring. Dr Ashworth is one in a million. Extremely good and competent. Very down to earth, and always has more than enough time for his patients. I have been involved in the NHS on the side lines for many years. Believe me doctors like this chap are few and far between. Absolutely amazing service from all the team.
