Sam and Lindsey, this is for you! (Apologies if I got your names wrong, my memory is poor). I have suffered with dental issues for 10+ years but refused to go to the dentist due to an abject fear of them from a traumatic experience as a kid. I'm 29 now and the pain I have endured for the last 10 years has been ridiculous and I've had migraines which floor me for weeks at a time, every so often. It has impacted my life so so so much. Today I chose to fix this, but as I was in the dentist chair I bottled out. Sam (dentist) explained everything, was very patient and never rushed me. He was honest in his approach and convinced me to have the injections in my mouth (a big fear) and my wisdom tooth roots pulled. There wasn't any pain and whenever I felt discomfort he'd top up the anesthetic. When filling out the questionnaire at the end to rate the dentists I saw, I struggled to hold myself back from tears. For years have I been afraid but you've helped me take the first step in beating this fear! I doubt you're reading this Sam and Lindsey, but thank you! If the bosses of the dentists are reading this, give them a bonus or something. Better yet, these two people are the standard of what good healthcare professionals should be like.
