Burnham Lodge is a lovely place to work in as the staff and the residents are like a family. We all genuinely care for one another. We are willing to go the extra mile to ensure everyone is happy.

I was working there, all the staff nice except a blonde nurse with short hair and glasses called Sharon, who discriminated me just for being an agency worker, even a lady resident realised she was mean with me, and told me she was bad lady. I had 5 years experience, and she dared to ask me if I had had any training!

My father was in this home for 6 weeks before we removed him having been placed there by Buckinghamshire council, it is the worst care home in the world. No one ever answers the phone, they don't return calls when asked and the care offered to the residents is appalling. My father in the Six weeks he was there had multiple falls and had at least 3 visits to Wrexham Park hospital., every time I telephoned him is was not coherent. Having moved him to another home he has had no falls in the seven months that he has been a resident and is far happier, and is now completely with it. On leaving this home he was given items of clothing which were not his and the home had lost his glasses. I could go on, all you need to know is that I would not recommend this home to my worst enemy.

My mother had been at Burnham Lodge Care home for 7 months and I am more than happy with it. Without exception all the management and staff I have come across have been caring, attentive, and understanding. They have also shown to be professional and highly competent in their roles; and have managed to alleviate my fears and worries about putting my mother into a nursing home The staff and management make It feels more like a 'home' than a care home, and if I or my mum have had any special requirements they have been happy to accommodate these. My mum is very fussy about which food she has and the times she eats; and the staff have offered her different foods at the times she wants it, even in the middle of the night! Before this permanent move, my mum has been in a number of homes on a short stay basis before; and this is by far the best I was so worried about moving my mum to a care home that I put it off, but I do feel confident that she is well looked after at Burnham Lodge
