We booked in February the largest motor home (the Carahome) for our family of five's planned road trip to Switzerland in July 2020! Blackdown were extremely helpful with all of our queries that resulted from travelling in the age of COVID! The Carahome was lovely and clean on pickup. Handover was comprehensive and useful. We all fitted in fine along with 5 bikes (thanks to the big garage and bike rack). Having 3 children the layout worked really well and the kids liked sitting at the table while travelling. We also appreciated the power of the van as we (thanks sat nav) drove over a steep mountain pass in Vosge mountains France! We also appreciated all the extra bits and bobs that Blackdown included (water hose, road atlas's headlight beam adapters etc)! We would recommend Blackdown anytime and are planning our next trip By the time you've escaped Brean you will be competent at driving it anywhere! Blackdown Leisure hire included the option of staying in their Campsite (Channel view) for one night was much appreciated!

By all means go to them if you want to pay over the odds to start with and do not expect any of your 1000 deposit back. Charged us 135 for a wing mirror cover (not the actual wing mirror or the hard casing), a separate cover - Obviously the ones they bought were gold plated as every other supplier I found charge 65 maximum for a pair and we only needed one.

Highly recommend hiring with these guys. They were exceedingly professional and friendly. The motorhome was well appointed and in immaculate condition. We had a fantastic time. Thanks.
