This is our daughter and son-in-law local pub...we were visiting from the Isle of Wight and popped in here for a drink and a bit of lunch...food was amazing..I had salmon New potatoes and fresh vegetables and it was cooked perfect.. my daughter and son-in-law had burgers which were also very well presented and delicious...my husband had scampi and chips which again was delicious... Drinks are good prices and a lovely spacious garden with ample seating . Plenty of parking available. The icing on the cake was the landlord greeting you personally when you walk in .. highly recommend..lovely friendly pub and fantastic food

Lazy chef, potatoes and parsnips were not par boiled before roasting resulting in rock hard potatoes and parsnips, very undercooked veg, el dente would have been edible. Unfortunately ! will not be going there again

Decided to give this pub a second chance but was completely and utterly disappointed. As soon as we walked in, my friend and I were greeted to a stench of a smell which could only be described as shit coming from the toilets which has to be a health and safety issue. I had a pint where a 1/4 of it was foam. I mean I like a head on a pint but this was ridiculous. Ive only given it two stars as the interior was nice and there are two pool tables, and that I knew people in there, so theres obviously a demand for it. I didnt try the food as I was too put off by the smell coming from the toilets. Shame as the prices in the pub are actually quite reasonable, but I dont think Ill come here again.
