        Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff and an extremely welcome addition to our depleted town centre. Times are tough for everyone at the moment and The Pantry offers a helping hand to assist us all to keep our heads above water.

        I've been a member of this pantry since october last year and its a fantastic charity. For 4 a week you get 10 items (3 red & 7 blue) + as much bread and fruit & veg as you want. Its a great way to prevent food waste and manage on a tight budget. I'm disabled so i rely on uc & pip to survive but this charity helps me to manage and eat healthy. They also go the extra mile at christmas to make your pantry shops that little bit more special - so you might see some seasonal items that you can pick as well or get some extra things too. The volunteers that run the pantry are the kindest bunch of people - they are always willing to help or just listen without judgement. Its brilliant this pantry scheme has come to Burgess hill but maybe they could do with one in haywards heath too as its a bit of a distance to travel every week.
