        23 March First time we have visited and will soon return. Lovely meal, an excellent atmosphere and rooms warm with log fires and happy guests.

        Only one real ale was available unfortunately but the roaring fire was great in late January. The food was really good; a generously sized burger and superb crisp fries, and the confit duck leg with pancetta cassoulet was perfectly cooked & presented with some lovely little sprigs of matching herbs. Only a short distance outside Wilton, good local circular walks, and highly recommended.
