Portmans Pharmacy

I was initially quite happy with the service offered at Portmans Pharmacy (free blood pressure check), but was disappointed when I was misled by one of the employees working there. I was told that they could only give me half the prescription I had ordered because of supply issues but that I could return the following day for the rest. I tried doing this several times over the following week and was told they couldnt help me. The first two times I asked for a refund I was refused until I made it clear I would not be coming back again. Only then was I reimbursed. Additionally, after calling other local pharmacies, I realized I was being charged twice as much at Portmans than normal. I would like to support independent pharmacies like this one, but I feel let down by the quality of service here.

Helpful friendly staff. Personal service from an independent pharmacy that deserves public support. Come here instead of the big chains

I went to buy a personal product this morning. I was served by a lady by the name of Angela (not sure if she is telling the truth with that one). She scanned the item, and it appeared that no price was coming up. She then went to her colleague who then checked her system in which the price came up as 4.99. 'Angela' said to her quietly no its 10. The colleague checked again, and told her that the price is 4.99. I said "I heard that" and so I can get 2. Angela claimed its 10 and its coming up on her till as 10. If thats the case, why did she ask her colleague to scan the price and then attempting to whisper that the product is 10. She basically scammed me of 5. When I asked for her name, she got a little defensive (obviously guilty) and said her name is on the receipt - arrogantly. I actually live in the area and have been going to this chemist for years. She must be a new member of staff I do not know. Its the sneaky behaviour and actually acting on by charging me more than I should pay. Her colleague bless her looked confused as to why 'Angela' was doing this but could not do nothing. Do not shop as this chemist as long as 'Angela' is there as she cons customers for extra money!!
