Transferred our pets over to this practice years ago from a vets practice closer to us geographically who were more interested in making money and not the health and well being of our pets. We continue to be extremely happy with the care and treatment of all of our pets from all of the vets and nurses in this practice now and throughout the years. One of our dogs went for an appointment yesterday and Sebastian listened to the problem, discussed the options with us, answered all of our questions and gave us excellent advice of what to look out for in the future.

usually, wherry veterinary practice has been nothing short of amazing and over the years i've been unable to fault them. unfortunately today my experience was quite different. i am the owner of three cats, one of which we recently discovered has worms meaning the other two probably do as well! i spoke to one lady on the phone who was so helpful and i thought sorted everything. we had a plan to use an over the counter dewormer to keep them okay until the next available appointment in april when we could do the usual treatment. i (wrongly) assumed a note had been made. whoever this lady was on tuesday i would like to say was amazing and it felt like she truly cared and wanted to help! i was incredibly stressed and so grateful for her giving me some peace of mind. i went in yesterday to go and collect the dewormer and was met with a pretty patronising woman on reception. i was spoken to like a child when i said i was here to collect dewormer that i'd already ordered over the phone. she tried to tell me (twice) she couldn't give me anything because the cats needed to be seen by a vet, even after i said i understood which is why it was a non prescription treatment that i had already discussed with a colleague. she also would not allow me to update details to put myself as the main contact without calling the previous one, despite me always being the one in there. i figured he would rather not deal with this lady so i declined that offer! the lady who came and gave me the cat dewormer also was rather patronising when telling me how much to give them, speaking very slowly like you would to a child. i was made to feel surprisingly uncomfortable during my interaction with these women which i was not expecting! i do work a customer facing job so i more than understand it's difficult if you're having a bad day but i've been left with a really bad taste in my mouth because of this. three cats are not cheap and i'm the primary owner/carer of them. i've spent quite a lot of money over the years at this practice and never had problems however today, these two ladies seemed to think i was incapable of using my brain and it felt like they couldn't wait to get me out of the door.
