I came new to care two years ago. I was looking to work in the care sector but only if it was offering the best care and was something I could be proud to say I do. From the day I spoke to Tracey in recruiting I have not looked back. She was able to answer all of my questions and to reassure me of any concerns I had of my own inexperience. I then did the training programme which gave me the information and confirmation that I had chosen the best. I love the variety that the job offers, meeting so many clients from all walks of life. Building relationships with clients, some who started off unsure and concerned about allowing someone to come into their life when they have been used to independence, to then have that client say they dont know what they would do without you is so rewarding. We have office staff at the end of the phone answering any questions and offering support and advice when needed. Training is on going and the opportunity to further your education is offered. So if you are looking for the best, then I would say home instead is the place for you.

I rarely write Google Reviews but I have to put pen to paper (if the "old way" may be excused), to praise the services of care and professionalism that our mother has received at home from Home Instead. Right from the start of the difficult decision having to be made, of asking for help in our mother's care, the process has been made so easy for us. Lesley guided us through the process and the necessary assessments with diligence, helpfulness and pure compassion. When she said she would always be there for us, those were not idle words. She has done exactly that. The administration of the giving of care , particularly their portal which records all the carers' visits and and resum of what they did, is superb. Nothing is left to chance and everyone involved knows exactly what is happening with their loved one. They try to minimize the number of different carers, so that the person they are helping gets to know them and vice versa. Whoever has the unenviable task of drawing up the rota, also deserves huge praise, because it always works seamlessly. Now, to the carers themselves! Where Home Instead find the outstanding qualities of each and every member of the care team, I do not know, but they are all truly "angels". Our experience of them has been that they are superb. Their dedication, empathy, patience and kindness is beyond words. We are probably similar to many families who worried at the start, whether the presence of carers might be something which our parent may have initial difficulty in accepting that others, in addition to family members, will be present in the family home, helping to achieve the continuing independence of a parent continuing to live at home. We need not have worried at all. The visits of the carers almost immediately became the highlight of our mother's day (and evening). Be it, the administration of personal care and/or just providing company and having a personal chat, their care is outstanding and we would be lost without them. I hope this review may be of some assistance to other families. For me, I am extremely grateful to Home Instead and I sincerely thank them for all they do for us. We could not have asked for more. After a career of over 30 years with one of the countrys best known corporate companies, I wanted a change of career to give back to my community. I joined Home Instead in September this year being brand new to care work. Ive be blown away by the superb quality of the extensive training, the support given to me as a new carer (thats there 24 x 7), and the total joy this role gives to me and those we care for. The office team are so helpful theres never a worry to ask a question. I work part-time on a two week recurring pattern, that fits around the other things I also want to be doing now Im in my 50s. If youd like to finish your working day with a smile on your face take a look at working for Home Instead Exeter and East Devon.

I am a Care Giver Professional with no previous experience. My work has always been in the Hospitality Industry. Due to covid i found myself with a complete career change but to be honest it is very similar I just have seemed to found my niche but also working For Home Instead. The company itself seem to be too good to be true. From the training, to the support given. Nothing is too much trouble. You have back up daily no matter how big or small the query The job itself is so rewarding. You are matched to your clients and have a care plan about them so you have a common interest on first meeting about their hobbies, their families, where they were born. Everyday is so different. I learn so much from my clients and their past stories. If i come away with a smile i feel good and it is normally everyday. To me working for Home Instead is more than just a job, its knowing that you are helping someone by being there and caring. I would totally recommend it!!
