Thoroughly enjoyed this family adventure with our 3 kids (10-14 yrs) setting off from Budleigh Salterton beach around the rocky outcrops and cliffs East towards Sidmouth and landing into a cove for a pitstop on the way. We had 2 x double kayaks and a single which we swapped about after the stop. Our instructor Dave was fantastic from the outset - even presenting our son a cap and pack of cakes for his birthday on the day and making a fuss, which was a lovely touch. He gave a really good tutorial for us all (all novices, really) and was very professional - and calmed everyone's nerves amazingly after everyone watched me capsize in the single kayak 5 mins in, when he came to the rescue and calmly instructed me back on board whilst which was very comforting! With an evident wealth of experience added to his friendly and personable nature he really made the trip so much fun for us all which we'll always remember and would definitely do it again and highly recommend. We were booked on the sea kayak beginner two day course with our instructor Anita , she shared a wealth of knowledge of sea kayaking and local history .The course was highly enjoyable made all the better by Anitas enthusiasm for the sport . We learnt a lot more than expected and we will now use this training as a stepping stone for our own kayaking adventures . Anita took us on a mixture of routes over two days from rock pools to doing open water paddling around the rock islands out at sea as well as demonstrating necessary safety skills , the icing on the cake was sighting three seals through out the day at close quarters . We will be back for more after consolidating our skills Thankyou ,again Anita

I would rate Sea Kayaking Exmouth more stars if I could. I did the 2 day Improvers Sea Kayaking course with Dave (ex-marines). Throughout the duration of the trip I felt very safe and comfortable. Dave has an excellent teaching style and went above and beyond to share his knowledge. We covered alot in the two days and learned quickly under Dave's wing, including trip planning, turns, high/low bracing, and rolls. He has great attention-to-detail and is very mindful in his teaching and ensuring the safety of the group. Fantastic training, highly recommended! Aug 29th, 2022
