Decided to visit Potters after being recommended by a friend for being one of the more exciting restaurants in Bude. The Starters were flawless, ordered the arancini squid and pork belly all were delicious and without doubt the highlights of the meal. Onto the maincourse ordered the venison pie that was rich decadent and delicious the venison was falling to pieces but abit of acidity in the gravy would of cut through the richness of it. I was unable to finish it due to the richness. My partner order the beef cheek which we both agreed was delicious but arrived luke warm likely down to it sitting on the pass too long disappointing. And finally desert which was hugely disappointing i ordered the affogato an incredible simple dish of icecream and espresso. The espresso was cold when it arrived and much like the coffee that was also ordered which was instant coffee even though there was a huge coffee machine in the restaurant maybe it was broken.. still cold coffee is inexcusable especially for 6 for cold coffee and a scoop of icecream.. unfortunately as the last thing to be served it almost ruins what could of been a very enjoyable meal I'm hoping this was just a off night for the team at Potters as i have heard so much good about them and will be returning in the future hoping for more.
